and musicians themselves and is illustrated by classic performances, some never seen before on television

This BBC documentary series, originally aired in the mid 90's, is an
inspiring and informative journey through popular music...
From Blues, to Country, Heavy Metal, Punk and Electro - whatever style floats your boat,
this series will enhance your understanding of where popular music came
from and where it's been going.

This series has never been released on DVD (most likely due to licensing problems)
so I decided to encode my VHS boxed set to preserve this wonderful document of modern music.
I've done just a little image enhancement and cleanup of the audio, which despite the typical
fuzziness/saturation of VHS, is perfectly watchable...and the sound is very good.

Down in New Orleans Little Richard lets rip, unleashing a force that reverberates along the
Mississippi Delta. Sam Phillips' Sun Studio in Memphis explodes with new sounds and
50's America is shaken to it's core...
